When one series isn't doing it for you, you're bound to find something else-likely, in a totally different space-that'll fill the void. Up against celebrated reality-first networks including Bravo, home of The Real Housewives franchise, and Kardashian-central E!, Netflix has been holding its own with cooking content for the whole family, intense game shows, and addictive romance journeys that rival The Bachelor and all of its rose-covered spinoffs. Now, Netflix has tried its hand at some other noteworthy stuff, including documentaries and true crime series, but one arena it’s been quietly dominating? Reality television.
After all, the streaming giant boasts a whole collection of award-winning films and bingeable series, from The Irishman and Roma to The Crown and Ozark. Netflix has proven that when it does something good, it’s really good-but you probably already knew that.
